Happy Birthday Melody! 

It's Melody the horse's 20th birthday on April 15th, so this month we're raising funds for her. We would be very grateful if you would donate $20 this month for her 20th!  

Melody lives here at the sanctuary with her bestie, Buckley the donkey.  As Mel has impaired vision, Buckley has taught herself to be her seeing eye donkey, helping her navigate the fields at the farm. 

Many aging horses in Canada aren't as lucky as Mel.  Every year over 2500 horses are exported, alive, on planes to Korea and Japan to be slaughtered for meat. Melody is one of the lucky horses; she will grow old with love and security here at the sanctuary, despite her declining vision, but in her honour we're asking that you also sign Animal Justice's petition to ban the live horse export in Canada.
